Are you regulated and compliant with UK law?

Yes. All of our practitioners are fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and work within the latest NHS and UK legal frameworks. We use encrypted, NHS-standard software for all patient data and communications.

How quickly can I get a GP appointment?

We aim to offer same day GP appointments wherever possible. We are available 24/7, though please note an out of hours surcharge applies for appointments outside of Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm.

How long does an ADHD assessment take?

Accepted Answer

Our ADHD assessments have no set time limit, we take as long as is needed to do a thorough and fair assessment. We aim to complete assessments within one week of your initial request.

Do you offer home visits?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer home visits within Norfolk and Suffolk. Please note that a surcharge applies for locations more than 5 miles from Norwich city centre. Home visit availability should be discussed at the time of booking.

Is my data kept confidential and secure?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We take your privacy extremely seriously. All patient data is fully encrypted and stored using software that meets all current UK legal requirements and NHS data security standards. Your information will never be shared without your explicit consent, except where we are legally required to do so.

Question 6

What if my condition isn't suitable for an online consultation?

Accepted Answer

We try to prevent this happening by triaging all requests for appointments and signposting you to a more appropriate service at the time of booking. We don't charge for that, and it is exactly why we ask for some information upfront. If however the issue turns out to be more complex than initially thought and outside our remit to manage safely, we will refer you on to the most appropriate service, whether that be within the NHS or to a private healthcare provider.

Do you cater to patients with neurodiversity?

Yes, and this is something we feel very strongly about. BGM Medical is a neuroaffirmative practice. We tailor our clinics and communications to make the experience as comfortable as possible for patients with ADHD, autism, or other forms of neurodiversity. If there is anything we can do to make the process less stressful, please just let us know, we mean it.

Are drug costs included in appointment fees?

Appointment fees include the cost of writing any prescriptions, but the cost of the drugs themselves is charged separately. We always try to find the most cost effective option for you and will discuss this openly.

Question 9

Can I get a referral through BGM Medical?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If during your appointment it becomes clear that you need onward referral to a specialist, we will discuss your options with you. This may include NHS referral or private options depending on your circumstances.
